Find the equitation of a line given the gradient and intercept

Worksheet reference: T01223-9EGJd
1 2 3

All straight line graphs have equations of the form y = mx + c where m is the gradient and c is the y-intercept ie where the line crosses the y-axis.
In 1, gradient is 4, intercept is (0, 3), equation is y = 4x + 3 .
2, gradient is -1, intercept is (0, 7), equation is y = -x + 7 .
3, gradient is -5, intercept is (0, 0), equation is y = -5x .

Write the equations of the following lines, given the gradient and the intercept.
The first one is done for you.
Gradient Intercept Equation
1 (0, -6) y = x - 6
A)
1 (0, 4)
B)
-3 (0, -8)
C)
3 (0, -5)
D)
-5 (0, -8)
E)
3 (0, -10)
F)
